About the Board

Organizes and coordinates postgraduate studies in the faculties and institutes under the board responsibility, these are: Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Animal Production, Faculty of Forestry, Institute of Desertification and Desert Cultivation and Institute for Studies and Promotion of Animal Exports. The deputy dean of Agricultural and Veterinary Studies Board oversees the tasks and activities in his board assisted by a registrar and supporting staff who undertake the processes of registration and keeping records of graduate students in the faculties and institutes affiliated to the board. In addition there are other common supporting units to serve all boards, these include: Examination Unit, Thesis and Dissertation Unit, Information and statistics Unit and Finance Unit. The deputy dean of Agricultural and Veterinary Studies Board by virtue of his post is a member of the research boards and scientific committees of the faculties and institutes under the umbrella of the board.


Board Tasks

1. Propose the general policies and regulations governing the work of the board.

2. Approval and cancellation of registration of graduate students in the fields of its specialization.

3. Study the programs submitted from faculties and institutes that fall under its authorities; recommends modifications in the courses and regulations before submitting them to the College Board.

4. Recommends the approval of examination results of the students that fall under its authorities.

5. Performs any duties or functions assigned to it by the College Board.
